This project was conceived with a view to developing Chuncheon as a beautiful lake-side city resort for those who work too busy to be sober, and to creating an attractive city that integrates both the beauty of its natural environment and its urban characteristics. As such, it employs an environmentally-friendly design with the highest perception and sense of responsibility regarding environmental protection. In particular, the connection and environmental continuity with the existing city was considered in planning the new district’s buildings, space, scale and density so as not to separate it from the existing city or overwhelm it. A perfect connection was planned between the existing city and the new urban hub environment by directly connecting the two areas with main roads.
